Added

  • Support for the GraphQL-based Live Search implementation
    • New files include the Hyva\MagentoLiveSearch\ViewModel\LiveSearchApi view model and Hyva_MagentoLiveSearch/search_as_you_type_script.phtml template
    • Default values for the live_search/api/production_endpoint and live_search/api/sandbox_endpoint system config paths
  • The search query can be extended with an after plugin on LiveSearchApi::getProductSearchQuery()
    • All fields returned for items.product, and other items fields such as productView, are available on product in search_as_you_type.phtml, without overriding search_as_you_type_script.phtml

  • Dependency on magento/module-services-id
  • catalog-service.adobe.io and catalog-service-sandbox.adobe.io added to the CSP connect-src allowlist
  • A submit button in the search box
  • A screen reader announcement of the number of search results
  • Pressing Escape closes the popover and returns focus to the search input

Changed

  • The search-as-you-type Alpine component moved from search_as_you_type.phtml to the new search_as_you_type_script.phtml template. Overrides of search_as_you_type.phtml must be updated, see Upgrading to 1.1.0
  • Product results are now links, so middle-click and "Open in new tab" work
  • The popover still works when a content blocker stops the storefront events script from loading
  • Updated search box styles to align more closely with the Hyvä default theme
  • Minor cleanup and refactoring in the metrics.phtml and search_as_you_type.phtml templates
  • Updated the minimum Hyva_Theme module requirement from 1.3.11 to 1.3.16
  • Fixed a bug where an incorrect from price would display for discounted or configurable products

  • Removed the deprecated Live Search JavaScript SDK
  • The window.MagentoLiveSearch object no longer exists
  • The window.LiveSearchMetrics object no longer exists
